Weekly Updates
Last week of school! EOG scores will come out at some point this week. There are a lot of make-up tests that have to be done so please be patient. More than likely results will be in your child's report card.
Wednesday is Wax Museum activity with Ms. Thornburg at 11:30.
Thursday this week is Clean Up Trailer 8 day! Our class will straighten up the class to prepare for my new class starting July 9. This is a "paying it forward" activity as classes before them have done.
Friday is 5th Grade Celebration. Ceremony starts at 12:30. Be prepared for lots of people and plan to come early if you actually want a seat. Students are asked to dress up as they will be walking across stage.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the opportunity to educate your child this year. I have often called this group my "honeymoon" group as they have truly been a fun class to teach. I also want to say thank you to all the wonderful parents for their support this year. You all have made this year fun as well with your kind thoughts and constant support of everything we have done this year.
I will be starting a new chapter next year as the 5th grade teacher on Track 3 here at DRES. I will miss all my track 4 families that I have bonded with over the last 10 years being on Track 4. I wish all of you the best of luck starting your child in 6th grade. Please come and visit!
